Parking
Our new venue in Albert street is up and running. We had our first “Saturday Girls Club” last Saturday. Some issues have been solved, others remain temporarily. My thanks to Cathy Congreve who solved one by finding economic parking just around the next corner in Charlotte st. (and thanks for the delicious brownies) 
Saturday Girls Club
Our 2pm Saturday Girls Elite squad made up of tournament players is continuing and we would like to start another group or two at 10am and/or noon. So far Maddie Hollows is the only younger girl to express an interest but she needs some friends to play with. Please leave a message below if your daughter would like to join Maddie.
Sunday Group
Even keener to play Chess is Henry Slater Jones. He turned up on Sunday thinking our Sunday boys/open group would be on. Actually he is right, we should have gotten our act together by now. I was actually there still setting up. Alexander Dessus is also keen to play so we will have to open Sundays again.
St Joseph’s College Junior Chess tournament
This coming Sunday there is a Junior Chess Tournament at St Joseph’s Nudgee College

I encourage you all to play so we will not be opening this Sunday but the Sunday after, the 3rd of March, which is coincidentally the first Sunday of the month and you know what that means! Our “First Sunday (of the month) Junior Rapid” tournament will be on.
